Using a novel address-based encryption algorithm, the Celo protocol makes sending money as easy as sending a text. Additionally, Celo uses stable-value tokens pegged to fiat currencies, like the US Dollar, to minimize volatility. Celo is an open protocol enabling many to participate in the system, even with a budget Android smartphone.&nbsp;</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size: 11pt">As a Senior Accountant/Controller at cLabs, you will manage treasury activities and intercompany funding, on-chain and cash transactions, act as an intermediary between the Finance operations and Operations teams, identify finance-related process improvements and potential cost savings, as well as recommend process improvement initiatives. This role is designed to bridge the technical aspects of Finance Operations with the business-oriented focus of Operations.</span></div>

As a Senior Accountant/Controller at cLabs, you will manage treasury activities and intercompany funding, on-chain and cash transactions, act as an intermediary between the Finance operations and Operations teams, identify finance-related process improvements and potential cost savings, as well as recommend process improvement initiatives. This role is designed to bridge the technical aspects of Finance Operations with the business-oriented focus of Operations.


<li>Manage treasury activities, including on-chain and fiat transactions</li><li>On-chain transactions: initiating/signing/approving</li><li>Cash transactions: manage and oversee bank activity including initiating payments and funds transfers&nbsp;</li><li>Manage intercompany funding</li><li>Oversee Accounts Payable activities; final approval and payment execution</li><li>Collaborate with Operations team and Tax Partner for various tax filings in the US and Germany</li><li>Act as an intermediary between Operations team and Business Operations for knowledge transfer</li><li>Provide high-level financial reporting overview, including US and GmbH entities</li><li>Oversee cLabs GmbH activities, review and approve expenses</li><li>Manage sufficient funding requirements; review monthly payroll, facilitate funding; review and approve monthly Cost Plus calculation</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various topics, including but not limited to employee/payroll related and legal matters&nbsp;</li><li>Identify finance-related process improvements; recommend process improvement initiatives; Identify potential cost savings</li><li>Assist with resolving ad-hoc tax related inquiries</li><li>Ensure employee compliance with company policies and procedures</li><div><br></div>

<li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, with 5+ years of accounting experience.</li><li>Working experience with crypto currencies, crypto subledger reconciliation, and/or crypto accounting</li><li>Working experience in a small company/start up mentality</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li>Working knowledge of US GAAP.&nbsp;</li><li>Working knowledge of Google Suite Applications (Gmail, Gsheet, Docs, etc.)</li><li>Working knowledge of US Payroll.</li><li>Strong numeracy and analytical skills.</li><li>Good problem-solving and time management skills.</li><li>Highly organized and detail-oriented.</li><li>Familiarity with US corporate tax filings&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in leading month end and year close activities</li><div><br></div>
